WIRETAPS - SB265, Judiciary. Allows intercepted communications to be admissible in criminal proceeding. To Judiciary.

PBS - SB270, Porter. Appropriates $2 million to public broadcasting stations to covert to digital signal. To Finance.

ASSEMBLY Measures Passed

INMATE LAWSUITS - AB22, Cegavske. Requires convicts to pay legal costs of original criminal trials out of money later won in suing state. To Senate.

HANDICAPPED PARKING - AB45, Manendo. Imposes community service on people who park in handicapped parking spaces more than once. To Senate.

MURDER - AB159, Gibbons. Prohibits murderers from collecting on the life insurance policies of the people they killed. To Senate.

INJURED WORKERS - AB334, 20 others. Provides industrial insurance coverage for persons who are casually employed. To Commerce and Labor.

DRUG ABUSE - AB336, Neighbors. Requires a person who sells drugs to a minor to pay cost of minor's drug rehabilitation program. To Judiciary.
