Letter: Clinton apologists are a real riot

President Clinton swore an oath to "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help him God." Did he? No. Did he weasel, deceive and lie under oath in a court of law? Yes. Would an average citizen be punished by the full extent of the law for doing the same? Yes.

Is the President above the law? Depends of who is talking and who you are talking about. If you are a Democrat talking about a Republican like Nixon, then no, the president is not above the law, the law as written should be enforced and Nixon's 60-plus percentage public approval ratings should be ignored. If you are a Democrat talking about Clinton, then law means nothing and public opinion polls are everything.

Everyone knew Clinton was a weaseling, cheating liar before his first election. Remember Gennifer Flowers, and "I smoked, but did not inhale"? Now we have a Rhodes Scholar saying he does not understand the meaning of the words "is" or "alone." It was a hoot then, it is a hoot now and extreme Democrat apologists with their twisted spins on reality just keep the laughs coming.

A suggestion for future Clinton apologist letter writers: Give up the lowly hate-mongering, name-calling, demonizing, and wacky conspiracy theories. They say more about your thinking than they do about Republicans.

Rather, just say, "I will blindly and mindlessly support Clinton and the Democratic Party no matter how many laws or morals they break." It will make your letters shorter, save some trees, and be a whole lot more honest.
