Letter: Trucks, buses should be kept to right
Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999 | 4:15 a.m.
The law requiring covered loads has helped, but uncovered loads such as trailers with construction equipment and similar cargo still throw up large rocks and stones as they bounce off the bed. Trucks and buses sometimes are three abreast on the freeway, each trying to pass each other, and this creates a dangerous situation.
By making trucks and buses travel in the right lane, they can fall in line, and break each others' windshields and fight it out with each others' insurance companies.
