Stephen Louis Andrade, 5, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1993, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Mitch and Carol Andrade, one brother, Joey Andrade, and one sister, Danielle Andrade, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Delia and Frank Macchio, and Gerry Gonzales, all of Las Vegas, and Joe and Gail Salerno of Raleigh, N.C.; and his great-grandparents, Louis and Barbara Denevi of San Jose, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Fred H. Bartlett

Fred H. Bartlett, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born June 10, 1915, in Mountain View, Wyo. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired owner of an automobile dealership, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Mount Rose Masonic Lodge 40, Scottish Rite and Kerak Temple Shrine, past district governor of Rotary International and past exalted ruler of the Las Vegas Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Lorenzi Barlett; two sons, David W. Bartlett of Las Vegas and Gary R. Bartlett of Reno; one sister, Vesta Berger of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Karl DeForest Berman

Karl DeForest Berman, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Corvallis, Ore. A resident for 36 years, he was a pharmacist and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; three sons, Bruce Berman of Paris, Arthur Berman of Salem, Ore., and Steven Berman of Reno; one daughter, Carol Wittman of Reno; one brother, Robert Berman of Corvallis; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Michael Ciopryna

Michael Ciopryna, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1916, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired World War II aviator who served for 24 years, a member of the Elks, Fleet Reserve, Moose Lodge and Navy League.

He is survived by two daughters, Lucille G. Whipple of Las Vegas and Carol Mraz of Manitowoc, Wis.; one son, Michael F. Ciopryna of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Ann Rada of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

John R. Dunlap

John R. Dunlap, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Holton, Kan. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired dry cleaner.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; one daughter, Vicky Williams of Las Vegas; four sons, Richard Dunlap of Rockford, Ill., and David Dunlap, Russell Dunlap and Randy Dunlap, all of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Fay L. Ferguson

Fay L. Ferguson, 77, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Harrisburg, Ark. A resident for 44 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, John W. Griffen of Texas, Ruben W. Griffen of Pioche and Albert E. Ferguson of Virginia; one daughter, Erlene Johnson of Virginia; one sister, Lena B. Howell of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Panaca Cemetery. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ruth I. Hogard

Ruth I. Hogard, 95, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 10, 1903, in Dundee, Texas. A resident for 4 1/2 years who wintered in Southern Nevada for 23 years prior to permanently moving here, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by one son, Wayne Hogard of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Ruth A. Gordon of Peoria, Ariz., and Frankey Eleen Craven of Las Vegas; one brother, Earl Mabry of Sand Springs, Okla.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services and burial will be in Kansas.

Rebecca 'Becky' G. Lahr

Rebecca 'Becky' G. Lahr, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 19, 1909, in Sharon, Pa. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker, founder of the Humana Sunrise Auxiliary, member of the Las Vegas Country Club and the Desert Inn Country Club, recognized nationally for more than 40,000 volunteer hours, set up the nursing scholarship program at UNLV and was a member of the Variety Club.

Clifford M. Leach

Clifford M. Leach, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Vigo County, Ind. A resident for five years, he was a retired self-employed plumbing contractor and a charter member of the St. George, Utah, Elks Club.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Prisbrey Leach; two sons, Douglas C. Leach and Michael C. Leach, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Vicki A.S. Swanson of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Marshall Leach of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Anna McAvoy of Indianapolis and Juanita Marcinko of Terre Haute, Ind.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Kenneth Steven Malia

Kenneth Steven Malia, 50, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for two years, he was a retired police officer, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of Fraternal Order of Policemen Lodge 51 in Hammond and American Legion Post 359 in E. Chicago, Ind.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Kelly Malia-Hodges of London; one stepson, Matthew Novak, and one stepdaughter, Jennifer Novak, both of Henderson; one brother, Jack Malia of Simi Valley, Calif.; four sisters, Marcia Malia-Alger of Hammond, Cindy Malia-Dinga of DeMotte, Ind., and Penny Malia-Burczyk and Kim Malia-Balousek, both of Chandler, Ariz.; and one grandson, all of Henderson.

Bettye C. Neville, 77, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for one year, she was a secretary for Pioneer Title and Safeco Title.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J.; two daughters, Kathleen Maddi of North Las Vegas and Kelly Biethan of Big Bear, Calif.; one sister, Adalyn Zinn of Torrance, Calif.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Harold S. Staton Sr.

Harold S. Staton Sr., 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 24, 1922, in Terre Haute, Ind. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Marine Corps technical sergeant and World War II veteran, served 10 years with Metro Police, was an employee for five years at Valley Bank, a 32nd Degree Mason-Blue Lodge for 50 years in Terre Haute and an Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite member.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel E.; three daughters, Linda Lee Coronas and Alexis Ann Gest, both of Las Vegas, and Cynthia Diane Ries of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Harold S. Staton Jr. of Panguitch, Utah; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Sharon Kay Stevens, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, she was born June 28, 1952, in Hyattsville, Md.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Wynn, her parents, C. Kent and Betty Fowler, two brothers, Ronald G. Fowler and K. Craig Fowler, and two sisters, E. Ann Peluaga and Linda L. Horn, all of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Kenneth and Dorothy Fowler of LaVerkin, Utah; and two grandchildren.

Jerry Sturdivant, 44, of Las Vegas died Dec. 20 in Las Vegas. He was born April 17, 1954, in Cincinnati. A resident for two years, he was a hotel security officer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Kristen Sturdivant of Fairmount, N.C.; his mother, Geraldine Sturdivant, and two brothers, Ellis Richardson and Johnny Turner, all of Cincinnati; two sisters, Maxine Woodcock of Seattle and Alesia Wilson of Cincinnati; and one grandchild.

Albert "Lee" Thomason, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Montrose, Colo. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired carpenter, a member of the Moose Lodge and the Carpenters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; two sons, Jim Thomason of Las Vegas and Steve Thomason of Crossville, Tenn.; one sister, Leona Richardson, and one brother, Gerald Wamsley, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
