Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, the partners will operate Warren-Walker's 300-student school at Windmill Lane and Green Valley Parkway as a part of AER's private school division. They'll also build a new school, expected to open in August, on 14 acres Aramark acquired at MacDonald Ranch.
Janet Smith, the top administrator of the two local schools, said the Warren-Walker School at MacDonald Ranch will have a capacity of 680 students, but about 400 are expected to enroll in kindergarten through ninth grade next year. With a student-to-teacher ratio of 12-1, Smith said about 35 teachers are expected to be hired at the new school.
The Green Valley school, certified for kindergarten through eighth grade, has 37 teachers and two administrators. Tuition hasn't been set for next year, but the current cost is $7,600 per year for books, supplies, materials and all activity fees for kindergarten through fifth grade and $300 more for higher grades.
