Bush, Schwarzkopf together again at Reno hunters convention

Bush will give the keynote address and help present awards on Jan. 23. Schwarzkopf will introduce Bush and help with the awards, said Emily Skor, a spokeswoman for the club.

"They are both confirmed. They are both regulars at Safari Club functions," she said Tuesday from Washington.

Past keynote speakers have included former Vice President Dan Quayle and actor Charlton Heston, president of the National Rifle Association.

This year's convention Jan. 20-23 at the Reno Hilton Hotel and local convention center will focus on the club's work with the Salvation Army to try to eliminate hunger in America, Skor said.

Others speakers include Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska, chairman of the House Resources Committee, and Govs. Tommy Thompson of Wisconsin and Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania.
