Developer says Henderson officials want to derail studio project

Doris Keating says she believes there is a conspiracy involved.

The city council Tuesday postponed consideration of plans for the Black Mountain Studios.

Keating said she believes other developers want to develop the property she bought from the city in March of 1997. To do so, the city must kill her movie studio project.

City Attorney Shauna Hughes disagreed, saying city council members raised legitimate questions that need to be answered.

Hughes said she and her staff will research the questions and provide answers prior to a Jan. 19 meeting.
