Edwin Araujo, 81, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1917, in Kaumana, Hawaii. A resident for nine years, he was a retired airline freight manager.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Shareen B. Saurer of Henderson; two sons, Christopher A. Araujo of Garland, Texas, and Rockne E. Araujo of Hilo, Hawaii; four sisters, Mary Sims of California, Rose Draper and Bernice, both of Oakland, Calif., and Lilly Silva of Hilo; three brothers, Louis Araujo and William Araujo, both of Hilo, and Alfred Araujo of Maryland, Va.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Lena Buzzalini

Lena Buzzalini, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born April 26, 1913, in Menesin, Pa. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita Bruno and Elaine Piotrowski, and one son, Roland Buzzalini, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Clara Holland of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Florence Jarson of Warren, Mich.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Samuel Joseph Cardillo

Samuel Joseph Cardillo, 79, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in a local care center. He was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 30 years, he was a longtime employee at the Riviera hotel-casino and a World War II Navy veteran.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive, followed by a private burial. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Marianne Kathryn Conner

Marianne Kathryn Conner, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 29, 1937, in Ohio. A resident for 49 years, she was a keno supervisor.

She is survived by one son, Doyal T. Conner Jr., and one daughter, Lisa Mitch, both of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Rebecca Copper

Rebecca Copper, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 23, 1917, in Newark, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, she was a postal clerk and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Patti V. Allen of Las Vegas; one son, Dale Richard Varner of Visalia, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Vicki Catlin of Granbury, Texas; one stepson, Kent Copper of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Daniel B. Dancer

Daniel B. Dancer, 55, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born May 9, 1943, in Kingman, Ariz. A resident for 32 years, he was an air conditioning parts salesman, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the North American Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Renate; one daughter, Debbie Anderson of California; one son, David R. Dancer of Henderson; three sisters, Geraldine Cox, Mary E. Hassell and Sherry L. Wasik, all of Kingman; and three grandchildren.

Ruth Fink

Ruth Fink, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Cleveland. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur A.; two daughters, Dusty Snyder of Las Vegas and Kathy Ackley of Longmont, Colo.; one son, Mark Fink of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one brother, Paul Garbus of Cleveland; and seven grandchildren.

Kara Silva Gilbreath, 31, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 5, 1967, in Honolulu. A resident for 10 years, she was a fast food clerk.

She is survived by her parents, Francis and Lillian Silva of Las Vegas; and four brothers, Damien Silva, Alika Silva and Kimo Kelley, all of Las Vegas and Clay Silva of Senatobia, Miss.

Dale Griffin

Dale Griffin, 39, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 27, 1959, in San Diego. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a hotel cook and a former volunteer firefighter.

He is survived by his father, Alan Griffin Jr. of Las Vegas; one brother, Robin Griffin of Winter Park, Fla.; one sister, Leisa Pate of Mountain Home, Tenn.; and one aunt, June Chippoletti of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Wallace Lane Harriman

Wallace Lane Harriman, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired Southwest Gas Corp. director of customer service, a contractor training consultant, a member of the Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and the Prestigious Forty Niner Club, a lifetime member of Pacific Coast Gas Association, charter member of Leadership Las Vegas, former chairman of Clark County Plumbers Examining Board, former board member of the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Rotary Club of North Las Vegas, Wind Jammers and Toastmasters, a Paul Harris Fellow-Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, an avid Rebels fan and enjoyed cooking, traveling and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Larson Harriman; one daughter, Monica Harriman Brazel of Las Vegas; two sons, Michael Harriman of Las Vegas and Edwin Harriman of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Florence Howard

Florence Howard, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine.

She is survived by her husband, Vail; two daughters, Carole Howard and Ginger Stahly, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Donald G. McGuffin

Donald G. McGuffin, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Feb. 24, 1933, in Chandler, Okla. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired electronics coordinator at the Nevada Test Site and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie McGuffin of Worland, Wyo.; and one brother, Charles McGuffin of Brawley, Calif.

Joe Reginald Sutton

Joe Reginald Sutton, 59, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1939, in Texas. A resident for 5 1/2 years, he was a plant manager for a sewing manufacturer and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; three sons, Henry Sutton of Arkansas and David and Matthew Sutton, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sandra Holmes of Baton Rouge, La., and Susan Sutton of Las Vegas; three brothers, Bill Sutton of Georgia and Tom Sutton and John Sutton, both of Thibodaux, La.; one sister, Elaine Shaw of Hillsboro, Texas; and three grandchildren.

J. Clyde Wheeler

J. Clyde Wheeler, 90, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. He was born Oct. 30, 1908, in Texola, Okla. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired electrician for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power at Hoover Dam, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 18 and Boulder City Elks.

He is survived by one daughter, Marian Crawford of Boulder City; one son, Steve Wheeler of Grand Prairie, Texas; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Bennie M. Williams

Bennie M. Williams, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Texarkana, Ark. A resident for 35 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by three daughters, Erika Williams, Rochelle Williams and Michelle Williams, and her stepmother, Frankie Williams, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Gladine Gibson of Seattle; three stepbrothers, Calvin Washington, Earthie Burton and Ray Burton, and one stepsister, Carolyn Gray, all of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Muriel Witemberg

Muriel Witemberg, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a routing clerk for a telegraph company.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie; one daughter, Elise Robin Kern-Otto of Las Vegas; one son, Jay Paul Witemberg of Tarzana, Calif.; one brother, Harvey Brody of Reseda, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
