Reno tourism numbers up slightly in November

Still, one-third of the available rooms were empty.
The total occupancy in Washoe County was 64.8 percent, a 2.2 percent increase over November 1997. There are 388,120 rooms.
Hotel occupancy was up 2.6 percent over the previous November while motel occupancy was down 4.4 percent.
The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority said it collected $1.42 million in November, up 1.8 percent from the previous November.
