Brief: Analysts see 4.99 percent growth

Bear Stearns Senior Managing Director Jason Ader today issued the forecast at the American Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Summit.
"In stark contrast to the early and mid-1990s, today very few U.S. jurisdictions are voting to accept gaming in their backyards and that's trimming revenue growth," Ader said.
He said 1998's 6.14 percent gaming revenue growth rate was due largely to the realization of full-year results from casinos opened in mid-1997.
