Thunder's loss to Admirals fifth straight

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Admirals scored three times in the third period on their way to a 5-2 International Hockey League win over the Las Vegas Thunder Tuesday night in front of 5,082 at the Bradley Center.

Both teams had lost four straight games coming into the contest. The Thunder's record falls to 9-25-5, for a league-low 23 points.

Jeff Daniels' power play tally sealed the win 3:34 into the period. Daniels and Jason Cipolla each recorded a goal and an assist in the final 20 minutes.

Defenseman Doug Friedman also scored, at 4:54.

The Admirals led 2-1 at the end of one period, after goals by Jeff Staples at 7:03 and Jeff Nelson at 13:48.

Patrice Lefebvre and Taj Nelson scored for the Thunder, both with an assist from Nick Naumenko. Jason McBain's three-game scoring streak came to an end, but he did pick up an assist.

Darryl Gilmore faced 24 shots and made 22 saves in goal for Milwaukee. Thunder netminder Brad Guzda stopped 34 of 39.
