Letter: Know rules: He's been impeached
Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999 | 11:33 a.m.
Guess what? Our fine, upstanding president has already been impeached. Censure is not even a constitutional option any longer. Please try to understand the process before complaining and defending our degenerate leader.
And on a much sadder note, for President Clinton to be found more admirable than the pope just goes to show how sorry our masses of this great nation have become. All of this points to the simple fact that it is OK to 1) be a draft dodger; 2) be an admitted drug user; 3) repeatedly cheat on your wife; 4) lie under oath to a grand jury; and 5) lie to the American public.
None of these points seem to matter to the public, as the polls show they are supportive of Clinton. Many refer to how stable our economy is and it being Clinton's doing.
America, open your eyes and realize our economy hinges on more than one man. Remember how important the Asian markets and European markets are to us?
We should remember that the people of this country put Clinton in office to represent each and every one of us while carrying our best interests around the world.
It has become painfully clear that Clinton cares little for the good of this nation and more for trying to salvage what's left of his tattered presidency. The reason it's tattered? Bill Clinton.
