LAS VEGAS -- Defenseman Nick Naumenko scored at 19:35 of the first period and :34 of the second as the Las Vegas Thunder (11-25-5) defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs 3-1 at the Thomas & Mack Center. The crowd of 6,226 persevered through a game extended by 30 minutes worth of ice repairs and 120 minutes of penalties to see the last place Thunder pull off the upset. Thunder winger Scott Hollis scored the first goal of the game, 17:55 in. Jaroslav Modry accounted for the lone tally for Long Beach (29-16-0).
