Letter: Pollsters' results can't be trusted

If they were so wrong then, why should we believe them now? When the president was impeached by the House, criminal defense lawyers were coming out of the woodwork protesting that it was so unfair because the criminal charges were never subject to cross examination by Clinton's defenders.

Now it's all in the hands of the Senate for trial and the senators have their chance to cross-examine; these same lawyers are trying to stop the Senate from calling in witness testimony to back up the criminal charges.

What are they afraid of? Why the sudden change?
