Selections made for clear racing conditions before scratches

1ST RACE:

Esconce - Bobbled at the start and 4-wide 3rd in last, stalked, got lead and caught while 2nd before that, debut runner up three races back, twice beaten favorite drops to claimer and keeps Solis for this.

Clear Skies - 1st time starter by Mi Cielo, steady solid works since early November, 20 percent trainer gets McCarron for debut, expect this one can compete here.

Value Play -- Lake Princess

2ND RACE:

Policy Maker - Speed and faded at Golden Gate when in need of a race in last, dueled lead and won while claimed at higher level at Oak Tree three races back, returns south and reunites with Puglisi, Kenny Guinn special.

Time for Skywalker - Steadied then 4-wide rally to win last, 3rd by a neck before that, Canani trainee returns at same level here, Solis stays for repeat try.

Value Play -- Gold Capital

3RD RACE:

Arnie the King - Broke the gate in the air from rail post then raced 4- wide with no threat in debut when solidly backed in last, off the rail now, returning McCarron signals potential to turn this run around.

Manwhatakiss - 1st time starter by Mr. Prospector offspring, steady series of solid works over the track, trio of gate drills from most recent four moves, hustling Puglisi for debut.

Value Play -- Super Nugget

4TH RACE:

Plenty Pepper - Runaway sprint winner at Hollypark in last, broke mai- den at this distance at Del Mar four races back, solid works for return, Gomez returns for repeat try.

Karyn's Bounty - Gamely set pace and caught late while 2nd by a head at a mile in last, stalked to break maiden at Fairplex five races back, hot riding Flores returns on Cerin trainee, a factor throughout.

Value Play -- Vaquero

5TH RACE:

Bonobo - 4-wide close 4th in last, distant 3rd before that, best effort run- ner up three races back with Pincay aboard who reunites here, beaten fav- orite in last four outings.

Dr. Quincy - 1st time starter by Doc's Leader, solid worktab with pair of gate drills from most recent trio of moves, good post, well placed, Gomez for debut.

Value Play -- Boracay

6TH RACE:

Lago - Closed willingly while close 2nd when claimed at this trip and track in last, in the quinella 3 of 5 at Anita and 3 of 4 at this distance with a victory, new trainer Truman keeps Desormeaux aboard, should trip out.

Crowning Meeting - Bobbled at the start and steadied early with even run in last, 2 for 5 at Anita, in the quinella 11 of 24 lifetime starts with a half-dozen victories, good inside post and Solis stays.

Value Play -- Mr. Sweeney

7TH RACE:

King Of The Wild - Made bid between foes and outkicked while 3rd on the lawn in last, 3-wide re-rally to win photo-finish on wet track before that, good post and Delahoussaye stays, tactical speed gives advantage here.

Smile Again - All smiles in winner circle after comeback victory in last, distant runner up routing before that, pair of nice works since raced, Solis takes over on Dollace trainee, outside post is only concern.

Value Play -- Saturn's Ring

8TH RACE:

Floor It - Set pace from rail post with runner up effort in comeback in last, debut 3rd in November ' 97 in only other lifetime start, drops to claimer now, diploma ready if doesn't bounce.

Onreal - Tracked early from outside post and wide inexperienced debut 3rd in last, adds blinkers and switches to Solis now, another outside draw here, Onreal graduation threat.
