Brief: State awards incentives to six firms

Meeting last week, the panel awarded incentives to:
First Card Services, a credit card payment processing company considering locating in Henderson and creating 100 full-time jobs and 71 part-time jobs. It received a deferrment on $491,230 in taxes. That means it can pay those taxes interest-free over five years instead of paying the tax bill all at once.
Mexico Plastics, a new North Las Vegas manufacturer of polybags and trash bags creating 47 jobs. It received a tax abatement of $175,000 and a tax deferral of $70,299.
Sunterra, a collection administration company adding 57 jobs in Las Vegas. It received a deferral on $24,165 in taxes.
Ceridian Tax Services, a payroll tax service considering bringing 10 jobs to Henderson, received an abatment of $268,775.
Kleerdex, a manufacturer adding 19 jobs in Reno, received an abatement of $335,500 and a deferral of $134,220. Polyvision, another Reno manufacturer adding 10 jobs, received an abatement of $130,375.
