Four plead innocent in $1.1 million heist

U.S. Magistrate Judge Roger Hunt set a March 22 trial date for the defendants.

Robert Bates, 26, and Timothy Blackburn, 25, each face charges of armed bank robbery, carjacking and unlawful use of a firearm. Both men remain in custody.

Riley Bates, 24, and Naomi Stachowsky, 21, each face a charge of possession of stolen bank funds. They are on house arrest.

An armed guard was shot in the chest during the Dec. 21 heist at a Bank of America vault on the city's east side. The guard survived.

Authorities said two masked men armed with guns kidnapped a bank cleaning crew and drove them to the repository, where the men waited for two armed guards to arrive and begin removing the cash. A firearm discharged as the two gunmen disarmed the guards.
