Accident dumps photo chemicals and home-made wine on road

Otto Walasek, 79, of Minden, was towing a U-Haul trailer behind his sport utility vehicle while on his way to his new home in Alamo when the accident occurred Friday night 10 miles south of Hawthorne.

The highway was closed from about 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to allow Mineral County authorities to clean up the chemicals from the roadway.

Walasek suffered a facial cut and was admitted into Mt. Grant Hospital in Hawthorne.

He said he develops his own pictures and makes his own wine.
