Letter: Republican reaction to address shameful

The United States is in its best condition in many years. The proposed aid to schools, students, the elderly, Medicaid and Social Security, to name a few, can be a godsend to our people.

As a nonpartisan voter, I was amazed and appalled at the attitude of the Republican attendees. They had dour faces, seldom applauded anything. It seems they hate the progress made by a Democratic leader and his Cabinet.

For shame, Republicans. Show respect for a darn good report.
