Brief: Dealer files suit over workplace 'hostility'

Bradford Perry, Las Vegas, is seeking $709,678 in damages, saying he has suffered severe mental anguish as a result of confrontations he has had with supervisors.

In the suit, Perry said his shift floor supervisor criticized him for doing his job improperly and for not talking with or smiling to guests enough. When he took his complaints to other managers, they backed the supervisor, the suit says.

Perry said supervisors became abusive as he pressed for backing and one of them remarked in front of guests that he resembled actor Martin Short.

Officials with Circus Circus Enterprises, which operates the Excalibur, had no comment on the suit, citing a policy prohibiting discussion of personnel matters.
