Brief: Merrill Lynch downgrades firm

The investment firm retained its long-term "buy" rating on Mirage, which is due to report fourth-quarter earnings next month.
The consensus estimate of 19 analysts who cover the company is that Mirage will report net income of 24 cents a share, down from 26 cents a share in the year-earlier period.
The earnings estimates range from 17 cents to 35 cents a share. Mirage is rated a "strong buy" by six gaming investment analysts, a "moderate buy" by seven and a "hold" by 10.
