Letter: Make all students take drug tests

There will not be any more locker checks, no more dogs interfering with classes, no more teachers or campus security looking at you in a suspicious way because after the first day they will positively know who are chemical addicts.

The future of our children is in need, not only for their own lives but for the future of our nation. Our nation depends on today's children. Today's children are tomorrow's future. There must be something done in our school system.

I have come up with a solution. The children, beginning with the seventh grade, must take a urine test to receive books. Why teach students who are not themselves; it would be a waste of time. When you register for school you simply take a urine test, nationwide.

I will never understand why it has not already began. It will not help the adults of today, but these children will soon be adults. They must be stopped now before it's too late.

It seems like our children mean nothing. We test our defense personnel, people at simple jobs, people playing games for entertainment, etc. But we will not test the people of the future.

If we want to win the war on drugs it must be stopped where it begins, in our schools.
