Brief: Province, states to compete with Detroit

"You'll see states like Ohio, Indiana and others move quickly to add as much gaming as possible because they'll see their dollars flow across the border to Detroit," gaming lawyer David Waddell said.

Waddell was quoted in a Detroit News story. Besides stimulating competition in the United States, Detroit casinos will prompt tougher competition from casinos in Windsor, Ontario, he said.
