Vegas hotel taking show on the road to promote new resort

Officials of the Las Vegas resort - scheduled to open on the Strip in the spring of 2000 - are embarking on the second leg of a nationwide tour. Hotel President Jim McKennon and Vice President of Leisure Sales Debi Paige will be showcasing the design and services of the new $826 million hotel. They will be promoting how the project can best serve conventioneers, business travelers and tourists.

The two will meet with groups in New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Louis.

The hotel-casino is part of a $1.3 billion project that will open on the Strip next year at the site where its famous predecessor was imploded last April.
