Expect 235,000 visitors over 4th of July holiday

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is expecting 235,000 visitors for the weekend, up 10.3 percent over last year's Independence Day holiday.
Three megaresorts - Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and The Venetian - have opened since last July, bringing to 116,753 hotel and motel rooms in the city. The LVCVA is expecting an occupancy level of 88.2 percent for the weekend.
The non-gaming economic impact is expected to be up 25.2 percent over last year.
