Ruth bat to be auctioned in Las Vegas

The bat Babe Ruth used to hit a home run against the Cubs in the 1932 World Series will be part of the first NYFL Sports Show & Auction, to be held Saturday at the Palace Station. The event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. upstairs in the banquet facilities.

The non-profit charity will host live and silent auctions of sports and celebrity art and memorabilia, along with donated items from area businesses. There will be an autograph session by former NFL player Cliff Stoudt, who played for the Steelers, Dolphins and Cardinals. Autographs will be $5.

The autographed Ruth bat, once owned by his daughter, will be part of the live auction that begins at 4 p.m.
