Taking a 'Walk' on the wild side

In her June 28 letter she asks, "Has anyone ever timed how long that 'Walk' signal stays on?" Yes, and "a blink of an eye" is about right.

Being a frequent bus rider, I have often wondered if anyone in the Traffic Department has ever timed the "Walk" signal.

It's rather scary to keep walking when that red hand appears, but how else could one get across the street?

I, too, hope some elected officials read Judi's letter.
