Camping experience builds up confidence

Ashley wants to go to camp to learn to canoe and horseback ride. She already knows how to hike and swim, she writes to the Sun Camp Fund.

But she hopes camp will give her one other skill.

"I'm going to middle school next year," she writes. "I need as much confidence as I can get."

Children like Ashley from all over the Las Vegas Valley are allowed to go to camp because of generous donations to the Sun Camp Fund, which pays the fees to various camps based on the needs of the child.
