Letter: Rich get richer, but do pass it on

Those who are only slightly rich would likely spend part of their windfall on luxuries of one sort or another. While they might not "need" those things, less wealthy people would have to be paid to make them. That might be a little bit OK.

But what about those people who are so rich that they already own everything that they want that money can buy? What will they do with their unneeded tax cuts? Somehow I doubt that they will take it in cash and bury it in the back yard or put it in a cookie jar.

The very rich will do what they have always done, they will invest any extra money. They may get richer, but in the process they will expand companies or start new companies -- and this means more jobs.

I'd be willing to bet that at some point in his life Orville worked for someone (or their company) who was rich. If they hadn't been rich, how could they have given him a job? Unless he has only worked for the government, which taxes the rich!
