Woman shoots husband, self

Police responded to the scene at a trailer park near Vegas Valley Drive and Nellis Boulevard about 2:38 p.m. Saturday. They found a 64-year-old man and 49-year-old woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Investigators said the man was ill with cancer. Police were tipped off to the homicide by a woman who said she had received mail that suggested her friends were going to take their lives.
