Leter: Talgo train offers riders a good deal

It's great to know that technology marches on and our new train will make the trip 15 minutes faster than the UP's City of Los Angeles of 60 years past.
On the serious side, I hope our new mayor, if he's really serious about downtown revival, will temporarily set aside his edifice complex to make sure there is a downtown stop for the new train and a public shuttle to the Transit Center.
A stop at the Rio is great for the Strip, but the new train should begin and end its trip downtown.
