There are a great many of us who appreciate Bellagio's policy of no children. While Las Vegas is touted as a great family destination, it is wonderful to know that there are places we can go and not trip over strollers or have kids running around.
I love children, but there are many other hotels on the Strip where a family can go and feel welcome. "No children allowed" is not blatant discrimination. There are places that children should and shouldn't be allowed -- and, thankfully, Steve Wynn has given us adults a place that is only for us.
As far as Platt's remarks about blind people, Jews and blacks, may I remind him that Wynn is not only Jewish but visually impaired himself. And to compare a stroller with a wheelchair is absolutely ridiculous.
Speaking not only for myself, but for many people that I know, we commend Mirage Resorts for its policies. My only hope is that they don't change them.
