Boy arrested after ramming patrol cars

Lt. Jeffery Page said the youth, whose name was withheld, rammed the cars after he was pulled over by the deputies.

The deputies were not in the cars at the time and escaped injury.

One of the deputies fired his gun into the suspect's vehicle and the suspect drove away, Page said. The youth was caught a short time later when his vehicle crashed.

The boy, who escaped injury, was booked for investigation of battery on a peace officer with use of a deadly weapon.
