Letter: James rates among our top legislators

I take offense to Miller's letter. State Sen. Mark James is one of the best politicians this state has had the distinct privilege of electing. His proposal to bar the use of intrusive cameras at intersections is a brilliant achievement.

James is one of the few officials who not only promises to keep big and intrusive government out of our lives but is also taking steps toward doing that.

Contrary to idealistic beliefs, Ms. Miller, this is not a perfect society and no individual on the face of this earth will make this world a Utopia of pain-free living. While your intent may be admirable, the idea of cameras at intersections does nothing but instill the defunct attitude of "individuals giving up certain rights for the betterment of society as a whole."

Ms. Miller, Sen. Mark James has my vote anytime, and I would thank you to keep your opinions in the state of California; let those of us in Nevada decide what is best for us.
