Letter: U.S. hasn't 'lost war in Kosovo'

No, Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic has not accepted reality (that his country will be blasted off the face of the earth) as soon as we expected but that hardly constitutes a "loss of the war" in any sense of that definition I have ever heard.

Another thing that burns me up is the ad nauseam calls from some for more "negotiation." For God's sake we "negotiated" for the better part of a year with Milosevic over Kosovo which, we know now, he used as cover for planning and implementation of his genocide in that province. He has never been seriously interested in a diplomatic solution with any teeth in it for the Kosovars.

I could go on and on with instances of Monday morning quarterbacking, armchair generals' criticism, negative media coverage, etc. In my opinion all of the above could be viewed as giving aid and comfort to the enemy and would never had been allowed in World War II. No, this isn't World War II but it is not Vietnam, either.

"Hate Radio" is bubbling over with seditious statements and comments as usual and methinks most of these jerks are scared to death we will win this war without any casualties -- which their punching bag, President Clinton, would get a lot of the credit for. In fact he would be the first president to do this!
