Letter: Irate swimmer issues challenge

I take offense at Tim Graham's reference to the UNLV swim team in his Thursday column. As a former Rebel swimmer, I take great pride in the program. This team works very hard and did take an astonishing sixth place in the WAC championship this year.

Mr. Graham, if you can haphazardly refer to the women's swim team as "well, the swim team," you obviously have no respect for the sport. I would like to change that. I hereby challenge you to a 100-meter freestyle race. In fact, we will have it at the Buchanan Natatorium. Maybe after I kick your (butt), then you will have some respect for the sport.
