Lollapalooza a loss for second year

The plug has been pulled on the Lollapalooza summer tour. For the second consecutive year, the prototype of the summer rock package -- founded in 1991 by Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell -- will not hit the road, sources said.
The reason: Organizers could not assemble a strong enough lineup and didn't want to taint the festival's name with a sub-standard bill. The event may be staged next year.
Meanwhile, the third, and possibly last, edition of the all-female Lilith Fair will play 40 dates in 32 cities over two months.
