Rosemarie Ancona, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 53 years, she was a homemaker.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. A private burial will follow. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Luisita S. Arimbay

Luisita S. Arimbay, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 3, 1945, in the Philippines. A resident for two years, she was a keno writer.

She is survived by her companion, Kirk Spencer; and two daughters, Arlita Kleine and Mylene Rosario.

Paul Thomas Barbusca

Paul Thomas Barbusca, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 6, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired gaming floorman.

He is survived by his wife, Erica; three sons, Champy Barbusca of Phoenix, Juergen Barbusca of Las Vegas and Andrew Barbusca of Sacramento; one sister, Tina McDonald of Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, Sonny Barbusca of Miami and Sam Barbusca of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A celebration of life will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Las Vegas National Golf Club, 1911 E. Desert Inn Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Veronica Jane P. Cristi-Mazurkewiz

Veronica Jane P. Cristi-Mazurkewiz, 34, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1965, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for three years, she was a retail sales clerk.

She is survived by her husband, John Mazurkewiz; her mother, Felicitas Peralta, and her father, Felino Cristi, both of Las Vegas; five sisters, Elvira Cristi of Las Vegas, Marilyn Santos of the Philippines, Elnora Cristi-Gordon of New York City, Bernadette Cristi-Kricheff of New Jersey and Florann King of Illinois; and three brothers, Wilfrido Cristi of the Philippines, Brando Cristi of Las Vegas and Marlon Eric Cristi of New York City.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Edward Crowe

Edward Crowe, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 26, 1918, in Massachusetts. A resident for 53 years, he was a business agent for Culinary Local 226, a Coast Guard veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Grace; one son, Robert L. Brown; one daughter, Christine Lunden; one sister, Patsy Sposino; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Marcus Eugene Cutler

Marcus Eugene Cutler, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Illinois. A resident for 10 years, he was a disabled Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; one son, Philip Michael Cutler of California; his mother, Genevieve Gowan, one brother, Bobby Newsome, and three sisters, Mary Bell Vest, Arlene Enslow and Gail Newsome, all of Florida.

Joseph Allen Drinkwater

Joseph Allen Drinkwater, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 13, 1920, in Monongahela, Pa. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired plant supervisor for Bruce Plastics, a World War II Army veteran, a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8.

He is survived by two daughters, MaryAnn Springer of Anaheim, Calif., and JoAnne Leone of Upland, Calif.; two brothers, Harry Drinkwater of Las Vegas and Charles Drinkwater of Pahrump; one sister, Esther Grundy of Orange, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Hazel Orpha Forester

Hazel Orpha Forester, 65, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Oklahoma. A resident for five years, she was a loan processor for a mortgage company.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Forester of Whittier, Calif., and Carol Sweeten of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and two sisters, Sharyn Mullen of Oregon and Jerry of Oklahoma.

Cornelio Gloriani

Cornelio Gloriani, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1925, in the Phillipines. A resident for six months, he was in the farming industry.

He is survived by his wife, Juana; one son, Cornelito of the Phillipines; and one daughter, Nenita Gloriani of Las Vegas; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Doris R. Goldsmith

Doris R. Goldsmith, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Elgin, Ill. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Sherman; three sons, Steven Goldsmith of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gary Goldsmith of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and Lee Goldsmith of San Diego; one brother, Marshall Friedman of Henderson; one sister, Elaine Pekofsky of Skokie, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Theron Odell Huggins

Theron Odell Huggins, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Bangs, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired painter in the construction industry, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the USS Flint Association.

He is survived by his wife, Sybil; one daughter, JoAnn Pederson of Las Vegas; three sons, Richard Bell and Kurtis Bell, both of San Jose, Calif., and Randy Bell of Salada, Texas; four sisters, Aldress Parsons of Marie Parmenter, both of Brownwood, Texas, Louise Lykins of Bangs and Bernice Shipp of Nix, Texas; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Private graveside services will follow.

Cecilia Degn Larson

Cecilia Degn Larson, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 30, 1906, in Preston, Idaho. A resident for 22 years, she was a school district cafeteria manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Larson-McCormick of Las Vegas; one brother, Victor Degn of Logan, Utah; one sister, Vera Bench of Seattle; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be private. Burial will be in San Diego. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Gustave Nick Nichols Jr.

Gustave Nick Nichols Jr., 80, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1918, in New York. A resident for 49 years, he was a dealer and an Army veteran.

Charles E. Nipps

Charles E. Nipps, 64, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Oklahoma. A resident for one year, he was a retired sheriff.

He is survived by his wife, Joann; four daughters, Kimberly A. Rogers of Templeton, Calif., Robin Peavey of Portland, Ore., Candace Cravens of Monrovia, Calif., and Shelley Sanderson of West Covina, Calif.; two sons, Mark Peavey of Glendale, Calif., and Craig Charles Nipps of Temple City, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Ralph Olenick

Ralph Olenick, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born July 22, 1923, in New Jersey. A resident for two years, he was a certified public accountant and a member of the Wichita North Optimist Club.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; three sons, John of Las Vegas, William of Wichita, Kan., and James of Prairie Village, Kan.; one daughter, Beverly of Merriam, Kan.; three brothers, Michael of South Carolina, John of Indianapolis, and Samuel of Melbourne, Australia; one sister, Eva of Austin Mills, Pa.; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Sebastian 'Siby' San Marco

Sebastian "Siby" San Marco, 88, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 1, 1911, in San Antonio. A resident for four years, he was a retired grocery produce buyer.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Eben and Judy San Marco, both of Henderson; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara Senora Simon, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for five years, she was born July 28, 1926, in Essex, Md.

She is survived by her husband, Bernie; one son, David Simon of Saugus, Calif.; one brother, Fred Herman of Florida; one sister, Alvia "Al" De Fadda of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.

Michele Slavin

Michele Slavin, 50, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for seven years, she was a social worker.

She is survived by her husband, David Askew of Las Vegas; two sisters, Fredda Slavin of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Elaine Slavin of Arlington, Mass.; and her twin brother, Hilary Slavin of Atlanta.

Gregory Burns Snyder

Gregory Burns Snyder, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born May 30, 1931, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired building contractor, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by four sons, Gregory B. Snyder II of Las Vegas and Dale Snyder, David Snyder and Steven Snyder, all of Los Angeles; his mother, Helen Snyder, two sisters, Suzanne Snyder and Carol Snyder, and two brothers, Paul Snyder and John Snyder, all of Pasadena, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Gerald E. Strong

Gerald E. Strong, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Avoca, Iowa. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired Air Force major and pilot who served as a bombardier and navigator during the Korean War and World War II, and was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruyen; one son, Johloyd Strong of Boston; one daughter, Kim Strong of Seattle; and many friends.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jimmie R. Tarry

Jimmie R. Tarry, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1935, in Arkansas. A resident for 8 1/2 years, he was a plant supervisor for a meat packer and a veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Annett; three sons, Jimmie A. Tarry, Timothy Annett and Troy Annett, four daughters, Angela Swartz, Jeanie Meyer, Diana Tarry and Tonia Marshal, his mother, Naomi McCarty, and one brother, Gary McCarty, all of Kansas; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled 2-3 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Kansas.

Edward Treacy

Edward Treacy, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born June 7, 1920, in Woodhaven, N.Y. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired retail manager at Von Tobel's, a former volunteer reading instructor for the Literary Association and a former volunteer swimming instructor for the Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one son, Michael Treacy of Philadelphia; two daughters, Gayle McDougall-Treacy of Seattle and Beth Robert of Edgewood, N.M.; one sister, Vivian Majeski of Tenafly, N.J.; and nine grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Jack Walton and David Walton Sr., both of Gibson City, Ill., and Edward Walton of Las Vegas; two daughters, Diana Byler of North Bloomfield, Ohio, and Joann Harris of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gwen Hawkins of Las Vegas and Genevieve Walters of Michigan; one brother, Eugene Neiswander of Watseka, Ill.; 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Charles Ray Williams

Charles Ray Williams, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a North Carolina hospital. He was born June 23, 1940, in Jackson County, N.C. A resident for seven years, he graduated as valedictorian from high school in 1958, was a Navy veteran on the USS Coral Sea, had a career in electronics, was president of E.F. Industries and helped manage his wife's figure skating business.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Roles Williams; two sons, Charles R. Williams of Seattle and Scott Walter Williams of Los Angeles; one stepson, Dean Chorak of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Shelley Boatright of Maryland; one sister, Barbara A. Jaynes of Canton, N.C.; two brothers, Robert L. Williams and Walter W. Williams, both of Sylva, N.C., and Eddie Williams of Otto, N.C.; his mother, Ruby Davis Williams of Sylva; and three grandchildren.

Edward B. Williams Sr.

Edward B. Williams Sr., 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 40 years, he was a heavy duty operator in the construction industry.

He is survived by six daughters, Dorothy Williams and Juanita Williams, both of North Las Vegas, and Rosemary Albert, Cassandra Albert, Donna Albert and Wanda Albert, all of Henderson; three sons, Edward B. Williams Jr. of North Las Vegas and Freddie Albert and Johnnie Albert, both of Henderson; one brother, John C. Williams of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Emma Ruth Thomas and Mary Lee Solomon, both of Chicago; and 12 grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
