San Jose hires ex-Rebel assistant basketball coach

Former UNLV women's basketball assistant Lisa Rathbun has accepted a similar position with San Jose State. Rathbun leaves UNLV amid controversy, as she was dismissed from her coaching duties in January for her part in a practice skirmish involving senior forward Amy Wunderlich. Rathbun was scrimmaging with the Lady Rebels when she and Wunderlich got into a shoving match.

Rathbun came to UNLV after serving three years as an assistant at Cleveland State. She played college basketball at Brigham Young.
