The hotel also will open four restaurants, a health spa and a bigger pool this week.
The $100 million addition is designed to ease an occupancy crunch at the hotel that hovers at 100 percent. Average nightly rates are $110.
"The level has been raised in Las Vegas, and while we're a very small hotel compared to the others, we still have to try and improve our property, and we felt we had to introduce certain additional amenities that we were lacking," said Hard Rock Hotel owner Peter Morton.
Those amenities include 35 upscale suites, the trendy Nobu Japanese restaurant of Beverly Hills, Calif., and 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
