Marie C. Allocca, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 21 years, she was born July 18, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Godlewski of Livermore, Calif., and Ann Allocca of West Hills, Calif.; one son, Robert Allocca of Owasso, Okla.; four brothers, Joseph Merola, Robert Merola and Anthony Merola, all of Las Vegas, and Ralph Merola of New York; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 3 p.m. services Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Agnes Elizabeth Bassett

Agnes Elizabeth Bassett, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 21, 1913, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired personnel administrator for a local hotel.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Bassett, and one daughter, Judy Bassett, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were 1 p.m. today in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Yvonne L. Rodgers Curry

Yvonne L. Rodgers Curry, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born in Milwaukee. A resident for five years, she was a retired hospital director of dietetics, a member of the American Dietetic Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. International, Links Inc., National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and Girl Friends Inc.

She is survived by her husband, William E.; one daughter, Shaune Maria Curry Dulan of Madison, Wis.; one sister, Vel Phillips of Milwaukee; and one granddaughter, Shani Curry of Chicago.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 4 p.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Alma Dahl

Alma Dahl, 80, of Bakersfield, Calif., died Thursday in Bakersfield. She was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Ida Township, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident from 1950-1998, she was a member of the Founders Club.

She is survived by three sons, Rene Irving Cecil Beshear and Dane Lance Ryan, both of California, and Phillip Edwin Beshear of Texas; one daughter, Paula B. Christiansen of California; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Floyd Fasseitt

Floyd Fasseitt, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 28, 1930, in Pennsylvania. A resident for six years, he was a structural engineer for an aircraft corporation and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Shirley Fasseit Clark of Pomona, Calif.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joseph Faulkner

Joseph Faulkner, 55, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1943, in San Diego. A resident for 30 years, he was a safety supply salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; three sons, Robert "Bobby" C. Faulkner of Escondido, Calif., Billy Faulkner of LaMesa, Calif., and Danny-Scott Oldmen of Las Vegas; one daughter, Barbara Campos of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Jack Faulkner of El Cajon, Calif.; one sister, Theresa Madden of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Aaron Garcia

Aaron Garcia, 45, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 1953, in California. A resident for many years, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by one brother, Anthony Garcia of San Diego.

Tom Hawkins

Tom Hawkins, 66, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1932, in Ripley, Tenn. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired owner of an in-home care service and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one daughter, Alice Lozano of North Las Vegas; one son, Allan Hawkins of Henderson; one sister, Jean Lefler of Visalia, Calif.; three brothers, Bill Hawkins of Prescott, Ariz., Milton Hawkins of Florida and Melvin Hawkins of Alabama; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Lodine Hayes

Lodine Hayes, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for one month, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William S.; three daughters, Kathleen Eubanks of Elizabethtown, Ky., Denise Betley of Tinley Park, Ill., and Barbara Hayes of Chicago; three sons, William J. Hayes of Daleville, Ala., Thomas J. Babiarz of Orlando, Fla., and Michael A. Babiarz of Divide, Colo.; one sister, Christine Wroblewski of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

June A. Hunter

June A. Hunter, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Spanish Fork, Utah. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four sons, Joseph Brown of Arizona, Bruce Brown and Jeffrey Brown, both of Utah, and Marvin Brown of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elizabeth Palmer of Las Vegas; three brothers, Carl Marvin, Vance Marvin and Paul Marvin, and two sisters, Mary Lou and Judy Bills, all of Utah; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Patricia Mittel, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 3, 1928, in Chicago. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired restaurant manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Phelps of Las Vegas; one son, Thomas Mittel of Great Bend, Kan.; one sister, Mildred Allen of State College, Pa.; one brother, Steve Allie; and seven grandchildren.

Trevor Paul Pickering

Trevor Paul Pickering, 45, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 25 years, he was a computer technician.

He is survived by his parents, Paul and Betty Pickering, one sister, Kim Murdock, and his companion, Harold Harley, all of Las Vegas; one niece; one nephew; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Hubert A. Reda

Hubert A. Reda, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Thornwood, W.Va. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired Army captain and World War II veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and active in National Order of Battlefield Commissions.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Ronald A. Reda, Thomas Reda and John Reda, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Elizabeth Dalessio of Lexington, Ky.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sylva Reitman

Sylva Reitman, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Chicago. A resident for eight years, she was a retired secretary for a moving company.

She is survived by one brother, Neil Reitman of Sacramento; and one sister, Elaine T. Levinson of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Bryan Anthony Schoelzel

Bryan Anthony Schoelzel, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 15, 1950, in Hawaii. A resident for five years, he was a hotel-casino sales manager.

He is survived by his parents, Helen and Robert Schoelzel Sr., one brother, Robert Schoelzel Jr., and two sisters, Robie Anderson and Debra Crank, all of California.

Wayne Adam Simo

Wayne Adam Simo, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1916, in Highbridge, Wis. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired restaurant captain and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by 10 nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m.-noon Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow in Memory Gardens.

Edward Treacy

Edward Treacy, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born June 7, 1920, in Woodhaven, N.Y. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired retail manager at Von Tobel's, a former volunteer reading instructor for the Literacy Association and a swimming instructor for the Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one son, Michael Treacy of Philadelphia; two daughters, Gayle McDougall-Treacy of Seattle and Beth Robert of Edgewood, N.M.; one sister, Vivian Majeski of Tenafly, N.J.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. today at the Los Prados Clubhouse, 5150 Los Prados Circle. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

She is survived by one daughter, Melanie Meinders of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; one daughter, Jennifer McCleland of LaPorte; her mother, Jane Streiter, one sister, Jacquiline Sutherlin, and one bother, Dennis Strieter, all of Mesa, Ariz.
