Rebels get blown out in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- UNLV came out on the short end of a wind-blown Western Athletic Conference baseball game Sunday, losing 17-14 to the University of New Mexico.
The Rebels lost two of the three games in the weekend series to the Lobos as their WAC record fell to 14-13 and their overall mark to 25-31.
Chris Gillette and Brian Hertel were the hitting standouts for UNLV Sunday, hitting two home runs each. Gillette collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats and drove in 4 runs.
UNLV finishes the regular season with a three-game set beginning Friday at Fresno State.
