Singer Eddy Arnold announces retirement

Arnold, 81, announced his retirement Tuesday at The Orleans hotel-casino, where he is performing this week.
Arnold's songs, such as the 1955 hit "Cattle Call," topped the charts from the 1940s through the 1960s.
The Tennessee native was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966 and won the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year Award in 1967. In 1985, he received the Academy of Country Music's Pioneer Award.
In recent years, he has performed occasionally, including several times in Las Vegas.
