Ronald C. Altmix, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Quincy, Ill. A resident for eight years, he was a digital specialist in the photography industry and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Charles L. Altmix of Fowler, Ill., and Aaron T. Altmix of Panama City, Fla.; his parents, Leo and Ethel Altmix of Quincy; two sisters, Anita Wasmundt of Grayville, Ill., and Ruth Sweezer of Quincy; two brothers, Roger Altmix of Arnold, Mo., and Raymond Altmix of Bourbonnais, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Kurt Edwin Becker

Kurt Edwin Becker, 27, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 1971, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Gary Lee and Joan Becker of Las Vegas; one son, Jay Dee Becker, and one daughter, Kaylee Becker, both of Arizona.

Harold Blank

Harold Blank, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Los Angeles. A resident for three years, he was a floor covering salesman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; and two daughters, Wendy Blenning of Oregon and Bess Bland of California.

Doris E. Driver

Doris E. Driver, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Fayette, Ala. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired silk finisher in the dry cleaning industry.

She is survived by one daughter, Christy Edwards of Las Vegas; two sons, Christopher Driver of Savannah, Ga., and Jerome Driver of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Mildred Wilson of Golden Valley, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Barbara L. Fosen

Barbara L. Fosen, 73, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for nine years, she was a retired computer programmer in the construction industry.

She is survived by two daughters, Anna Cleveland of Fremont, Calif., and Linda Fosen of North Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Benedict of San Jose, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Alexander Anthony Grossman

Alexander Anthony Grossman, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 3, 1944, in Illinois. A resident for 10 years, he was an iron worker and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth, Melanie and Valarie; his parents, Walter and Frances; six brothers, Kenneth, Frank, Greg, Thomas, Paul and John; four sisters, Toni, Georgia, Pamela and Mary; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Everett Wayne Howard

Everett Wayne Howard, 82, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 8, 1916, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired cook for the federal government, an Army and Navy veteran who served during World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by four daughters, Beverly Hill of Columbia, Md., Sylvia Howard of Oakland, Calif., Norma Washington of Alameda, Calif., and Azure McCall of Honolulu; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Eva Kukula

Eva Kukula, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired bookbinder for a book manufacturer.

She is survived by one son, John Kukula of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 5621 E. Judson Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joseph W. Lang Jr.

Joseph W. Lang Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in East St. Louis, Ill. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired chemical salesman.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Lang of Las Vegas and Michael Lang of Beaverton, Ore.; two brothers, Wayne Thornton of Seattle and Harold Lang of Illinois; one sister, Peggy Hunter of Illinois; and two grandchildren.

Chester O. Macke

Chester O. Macke, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 1913, in Missouri. A resident for four years, he was an electrical appliance plant manager.

He is survived by one son, Richard; one daughter, Katharine; one sister, Vivian Heinrick of Arkansas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Laurian Mary McCaustland

Laurian Mary McCaustland, 45, of Las Vegas and Reno died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1954, in Grand Canyon, Ariz. A resident for seven years, she was a Reno Air shift coordinator for five years.

She is survived by her husband, T.J.; two daughters, Tina Downs of Winnemucca and Samantha Eads of Tracy, Calif.; one son, Jimmy Marlin of Winnemucca; three sisters, Carol Rodriguez of Chicago, Sandra Rostron of San Diego and Gayle Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Gary Sheppard of Oakland, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled 3 p.m. today in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

The family suggests donations to a pending trust fund for her children.

Kenneth P. Perkins

Kenneth P. Perkins, 82, of Henderson died Monday. He was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Waltham, Mass. A retired owner-operator of Ken Perkins Specialized Automotive, he helped with church services at the Henderson Convalescence Hospital and was a high priest of the LDS Church.

He is survived by his wife, Melody; eight sons, Kenneth Philip Perkins Jr. of Canyon Country, Calif., Darrell Lee Perkins of Florida, Russ Thomas Perkins of Oregon and Ray Hunt, David Hunt, Jeff Hunt, Danny Hunt and Gary Hunt, all of Henderson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to 11:30 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Nicholas Linn Quinn

Nicholas Linn Quinn, 15, of Boulder City died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 27, 1983, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 11 years, he was a student at Boulder City High School, played football, baseball, basketball, weightlifting and bowling.

He is survived by his parents, Cynthia and Reggie Rideout of Boulder City and Stewart and Karen Quinn of Georgetown, Pa.; one brother, Curtis Quinn, and Katie Quinn, both of Georgetown; and his grandparents, Karl and Joan Schlick of Pittsburgh and Maledia Quinn of Imperial, Pa.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Bethany Baptist Church, 210 Wyoming St., Boulder City. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Donald Chas Roberts

Donald Chas Roberts, 79, of Henderson died April 16 in Las Vegas. He was born July 8, 1919, in Ohio. A resident for 14 years, he was a cook and an Army veteran.

Arthur John Rossman, 51, of Las Vegas died Friday in Bullhead City, Ariz. A resident for many years, he was born in Pennsylvania.

Larry Dean StewartLarry Dean Stewart, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1937, in Huntington, Ind. A resident for many years, he was a motel maintenance man.

He is survived by one stepson, Carl Wennerstrand of Las Vegas.

Rose Marie Stiver

Rose Marie Stiver, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 6, 1936, in Butte, Mont. A resident for 40 years, she was an elementary school teacher in Clark County for 18 years.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Stiver; two sons, Michael Stiver of New York and David Stiver of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Kristina Tucky of Las Vegas; a sister, Nancy Fink of Seattle; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Davis Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Charles Tolefree, 72, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1926, in New Edinburg, Ark. A resident for 25 years, he was a hotel kitchen worker.

He is survived by his wife, Verlene; three daughters, Lisa Pickett of Las Vegas and Marlene Pickett and Verlene Pickett, both of North Las Vegas; one son, Lamort Pickett of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Oralee Tolefree of Las Vegas and Virgil Tolefree of Milwaukee; one sister, Jufrutha Raney of Kansas City, Mo.; 35 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2450 Revere St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Violet M. Wagy

Violet M. Wagy, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born March 23, 1911, in Ray County, Mo. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired private school teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Meade of Las Vegas; one son, Virgil Craig of Minden; one sister, Wilma Jean Hopper of Oregon; two brothers, Cecil Myers of Oklahoma and Roy Myers of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Friday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3900 Mountain Vista St.

Alice Loretta Wheeler

Alice Loretta Wheeler, 95, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 11, 1903, in Cleveland. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Church Seniors Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Wheeler-Nesmith of Las Vegas and Jacqueline Ruffer of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until a 7 p.m. vigil today in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

John Arthur Wreglesworth Jr., 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 17, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he was a self-employed barber, a Navy veteran, a past master Tri Luminar 767 and Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie; two sons, John and Joseph; two daughters, Cherie Lee and Mary; one sister, Betty; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
