Casino airline halts Nashville flights

"We need to keep our assets in more profitable markets," an AirTran spokeswoman said.
The Orlando, Fla.-based airline and Mirage Resorts' Beau Rivage hotel-casino, its marketing partner, made the decision.
The Gulfport flight was the only service AirTran offered to Nashville.
The airline said there are no plans to replace the flight at Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport.
AirTran now has seven daily flights from Gulfport, including two to Atlanta. Other flights are to Orlando, Dallas, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Tampa, Fla.
AirTran and Beau Rivage signed a deal in March to bring visitors into the Coast from the Southeast cities.
