UNLV tennis standout Tishler wins another award

UNLV men's tennis standout Asaf Tishler has been named the regional winner of the Farnsworth Senior Player of the Year Award as part of six honors announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Wednesday.

Tishler, a native of Tel Aviv, Israel, earned a career-high ranking of 19 this season. He is 20-7 in singles after winning 16 of his last 18 matches at UNLV's top position. He is also 16-7 in doubles play.

Tishler, who has earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Singles Championship in Athens, Ga., later this month, is one of the most decorated Rebel tennis players in history.
