Letter: Reader adds to weapons article

Nevertheless a point of clarification is to be made. "... (The bill) invites scrutiny for one somber reason: Littleton ..." Au contraire, it invites scrutiny because of the unintended consequences of the federal "gun-free zone" policy, rammed into law in a previous anti-gun frenzy.

That policy assured all psychopaths that people in those zones would be defenseless. Assembly Bill 166 signals that people in public buildings do not intend to become victims.

Observation: "An armed society is a polite society." Almost everyone will take that the wrong way.

In checking the Internet, I found nationwide posts from CCW carriers who say they've become more mature when carrying -- no road rage due to verbal abuse, finger flipping, cutting off, etc. Knowing they are armed and under stiff legal restraints, they now ignore the idiots.

All in all, though, Kuz's article was a nice, informative piece of journalism.
