Main wins $1.3 million jackpot

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, landed the Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpot on Saturday at the Pepermill Hotel Casino.

The man said he has been trying to start his own event-planning company after being laid off from the undisclosed job.

"This win is an answer to my prayers," he said. "I made so little money last year that I could hardly afford to buy clothes or anything. I couldn't even hire somebody to come in and get rid of the termites in my home.

"Now, it is also payback time for all those wonderful people who helped to keep me going over the past couple of years."

The man was in town to watch his nephew pitch for the University of Nevada, Reno.
