2ND RACE:

Emma Java - Returns to southland after weakening in last pair of outings in Northern California, won at higher level at this trip while claimed three races back, in the quinella 5 of 8 starts at this distance with both career victories, fits here. Enabru - Stumbled badly at the start and eliminated in last, dueled 3-deep and 2nd in the mud when claimed before that, draws better post now, Flores takes over for this, clean break should make this one a player throughout. Value Play -- Encore Express

3RD RACE:

Turnaround Time - Five wide debut runner up in last, draws an outside post here, trainer Gaines is batting 22 percent at the meet, Stevens returns, has race experience now, it's Turnaround Time. Harvest Hoedown - First-time starter by Hoedown's Day, started worktab in Northern California with a pair of bullet works then shipped south to continue solid worktab, prompt start needed from inner post, Valdivia gets southland call. Flying Lesson - Dueled lead and held 3rd in last, drew clear to break maiden before that, pair of nice works since raced, reunites with winning rider Delahoussaye now, fits this spot. Speaking of Time - Late bid runner up at longer distance in last and 4th before that both at these conditions, broke maiden three races back at longer as well, needs honest pace to run at, Garcia again on Abrams trainee. 5TH RACE:

Air Force Woman - Returns to races with steady works, in the quinella in last four outings with a pair of victories, all 3 lifetime victories come at this distance, hustling Gomez returns, may be ready to resume consistency off freshening. Cheryl's Girls - Off slowly and split field while 5th in last, broke maiden at this distance before that, drops to competitive spot now, needs honest pace to run at, Black stays. 6TH RACE:

Solitary Angel - Forced out on final turn to be no factor as the favorite over this course in last, made bid, led and caught with close runner up on Anita lawn before that, outfinished to 2nd three races back, ready for graduation trip. Hollywood Baldcat - Made up nine lengths to finish well for close 3rd over this course first time routing on lawn when in need of an outing in last, pair of nice works since raced, Pincay returns, must overcome outside post.
