Carson man dies in Pleasant Valley rollover
Sunday, May 23, 1999 | 9:08 a.m.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said John A. Droppleman was northbound when his 1983 Jeep drifted into the dirt shoulder around 8 a.m. in Pleasant Valley.
Droppleman, 57, overcorrected, sending the Jeep across both northbound travel lanes. He then lost control of the vehicle when it began to rotate and overturned, the patrol said.
The NHP said Droppleman was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic was backed up for several miles until the scene was cleared.
An investigation continued.
